Eventus recognized a need to streamline the current booking process and improve patient services by transitioning from a manual paper fax booking submission to an electronic booking system. Working closely with hospital staff, surgeons and end users, Eventus provided workflow analysis techniques to better understand current processes, identify requirements, gaps and opportunities for improvement. This resulted in the development of the Eventus Booking Care System deployed to create efficiencies within all levels of the booking process and to reduce complexity, errors and expenses incurred by eliminating redundant processes.
With the adoption of the Eventus Booking Care System staff realized ROI's that went well beyond monetary benefits, including: efficiency and accuracy of booking data, better control and management of booking requests thus allowing the focus to be on the patients instead of the paperwork, improved accountability with auditing, better communication between departments and surgeon office staff, ability to standardize processes therefore creating improved workflows, and real-time reporting of all data to be evaluated to reduce wait times.
The Eventus Booking Care System (BCS) is a web based application that allows physicians to electronically book and manage their wait lists in real-time, while simultaneously capturing and reporting Wait Times information. Not only does it eliminate the manual processes of booking a surgery to a hospital, but physicians will no longer need to access the Ministry Wait Time Information website. The Eventus BCS provides a significant reduction in redundancies and eliminates the duplication of effort entering Wait Times information, as the Eventus BCS is seamlessly completing this in the background creating further efficiencies.
The Eventus BCS can be fully customized to allow a seamless integration into a hospital environment by not having a hospital try and adapt their policies and processes to the system, but rather the system will adapt to current policies and processes that have been accepted and already proven at the hospital.
